Hi everyone. Just got my first Royal a week ago (a female butter, currently 108g). Have left her alone.... she's spent most of the time in her hide, under the kitchen towel lining her RUB!
I just tried to feed her for the first time, and she ignored the mouse fuzzy. However, her eyes are starting to look opaque, so we think she may be starting her second shed (first since we had her). Any hints or tips? Your expertise would be much appreciated!! Thanks, Andrew |

Sounds like the 'help' I gave you in the other posting was correct. Hope it's as reassuring for you as it is for me!! |

Temps are ok....approx 80 deg F in the day max on the warm side. Floor temp is approx 87 deg max. She's in a RUB with heat mat under one third of the RUB. Humidity is about 73%. Do you think I need to wet the paper towel around the area of the heat mat? |

You may want to bring the temp up a little. You'd ideally want to be in the low/mid 90c max on the hot spot
With the lower temps and fairly high humidity, there could be an increased risk of a respiratory infection |
