Hi guys. I was in the park today and I have seen some nice, dry leaves of maple. They are all nice and clean and I thought it would be possibly good substrate and also extra hide for young snakes. The could fell secure in there as it would be like a part of their natural environment. What you guys think about it?

Dead foliage and humidity will normally make a great breeding ground for mould. I dont think there is any risk to a snake from a maple leaf though.

Like anything from outside,it can have unwanted things on them.Anyway without going on and on.

Why not buy a pre cleaned/dried bag from one of the frog shops?
