Hi all, I'll be moving my 15 month old royal out of his 18 ltr rub into a viv very soon. What thermostat and ceramic bulb do I need?
Many thanks. |

A dimming or pulse prop thermostat will be best and as for ceramic bulb I'm not too good with them but it depends on the size of your viv, as it's a royal the viv is probably small so I can't imagine you'd need a heavy duty bulb. |

My 9 week royal is in a 2 foot viv with a dimming thermostat and 150w red bulb. A smaller bulb would be OK but using a bigger one I feel its not working as hard. My royal isn't shy at all though and is a very good feeder so is happy in that size viv, plenty to hide in/around though |

I use a 150 Watt Komodo Radiant heat bulb and a dimming stat, I find them perfect for maintaining a good hot spot and a nice ambient temp.
Live food by post are selling them cheap at the moment. Just dont buy them all I am stocking up while they are cheap.

Our house is cold too due to no central heating. I use 150w lucky reptile dark spot ceramic bulbs on pulse stats in my 3ft vivs and they hold temps fine even on the cold days |
