Hi everyone,
In process of setting up my royal viv and was planning on using 50% artificial grass(with 30mm pile for authentic look) and 50% aspen . Question is would there be any advantages in using aspen in hot/cool end or is substrate irrelevant as to which end it is? Had a slight concern if the heat from 100w ceramic heater would scorch the aspen?
Thanks in advance

I would probably have aspen in warm end just incase the heat bulb gets the grass to hot

aspen is fine for the whole viv an wont get scorched unless the ceramic is touching it
