Hey my spider female shed around a week ago, everything came off fine except a patch under her chin, and it stretches about 3 inches along each side of her neck, now i've bathed her and let her slither through a rough towel, left her in a warm bath of water over night, damp hide, damn pillow case, the lot, but it really is STUCK, and wont come off, ive tried peeling it off a little myself, just to see how stuck it is and it really is on their well. She has always had a prob shedding, time before last she had a little stuck shed which came off perfectly the shed after....
I did try and feed her 2night and to my surprise she took like a trooper, not sure if I'm supposed to feed her with stuck shed or not, but hey.....
my real concern is will it effect her until next time she sheds in anyway, the tip of her tail and eye caps are clear just that little patch under her chin and along her neck...
Sorry for the repetitiveness, thanks, Matt.. lol |

feeding her may have loosened it an she will get it off in a few days if not once she has digested give her a warm bath then holding her behind the head gently try an work it loose with a damp cotton bud. i find it easier to work the shed loose from the side of the jaw when doing this, work from the back of the jaw to the front rolling an edge back then once at the front you should be able to gently peel it back |

Put a moist hide in her viv for a couple of days and a damp flannel over the hide in the warm side. Then try running her through a towel again. Even at this stage it's worth a try..... |

gave her a good long bath and left the bath in her rub, got a few pieces off when she was in the bath, and i checked back a few hours later to find the little bit that was on her chin on her log! jsut a few really stubborn bits along her neck, but really it isnt much, got about 80% of the stuck stuff off, im happy and she seems happy :) all is good |

Mnemeth had a wee bit of a tatty shed, with some left on jer underbelly. Went to pick her up to give her a soak and she coiled herself up quite tight around my arm. She squirmed arpund a bit as I carried her to the bowl then I noticed the shed remnants had come off on my jumper sleeve!!! Must remember to get a better fabric conditioner!!!!! |
