Tony had his first shed with us yesterday. Total disaster. He only managed to shed from his head. Everything else was well and truly stuck. Well 30-60 minutes of bathing got the old shed removed and I have to say he was very good about it all. We had no idea he was going blue. No sign of a pinkish tinge to his belly no difference in his eyes or colouring. How on earth can you tell when they are going to shed? If we had known he would have had a damp moss box provided for him to help with shedding. |

I had read about the belly changing colour but we saw nothing and made a point of keeping an eye on his belly for this very reason. It has remained completely white the whole time. |

My albino goes very dull the yellows fade away massively, also same as normals eyes cloud over, although it is difficult to notice, the biggest sign for me is the belly, goes really pink more so than in a normal. Also behaviour change if they ars normally active they will less do. However I am basing all thus on my albino Burm, bit I'm surf it's pretty much the same for all snakes. |

My 'bino doesn't give the obvious signs, but her neck does go a little wrinkly, as per jbarlow91 above. |
