£6 for a large sheet of 0.9cm squared mesh. Could make two out of it but I messed up the first one lol.
Here it is.
I did manage to make my vent of 100mm x 1200mm for when I rebuild my boas 4 foot tank. As back board is loose. |

If you can get two out of it for £6.00 that's cheap! Next step is to get the bottom to open for easier bulb changing..... |

I did manage to make two out of it. Instead of making a net. I cut all the sides separately. So I did and still had load left over. But not enough for a third lol
And the bottom opening would be good but being held in by 2 screws. Isn't a massive issue lol |

great job there. my wife uses small pinch rings in her jewallry making these could be used as hindges ! then its just a case of getting a small looped spring ( hobby craft ) to secure the door into place. |

do these guards get hot at all? i was thinking of making one but was worried they might do as they dont have the protective coating? |

I've not had any problems with mine. Mine doesn't seem to get hot and I'm running a 150w ceramic heat bulb. As I've got a 4 foot viv |
