I've just read that it's possible to run a ceramic on a on/off stat ???? Now I'm thinking that's total rubbish as would the constant on/of operation blow the ceramic |

I believe my ceramic is on a pulse which is an on/off :) I see no reason it shouldn't work |

Cheers kelf . Would the ceramic last as long on a on/off stat as it would on a pulse proportional |

Pulse is more like adjusting the amount of power to heater, then simple on off.

Makes sense,As its going on/off on/off lots.Which could blow the bulb sooner. |

It's the heating and cooling that causes bulbs to blow quicker, pulse go on and off so quickly it doesn't cool. Pulse is a dying system though and phasing out in new habistat stats as its limited, dimmers are not. |
