I took her for a drive to our local reptile shop so they could check her over. Whilst there they offered her a small mouse they were about to give one of theirs. She totally wasn't interested so they told me not to offer for a month. Next day as I was changing her water she poked her head out and flicked her tongue, something she hasn't done for months so I decided to offer the next day. I left it in overnight and was overjoyed to discover it gone in the morning! |

Funny how they are sometimes. We had offered ours a feed on Sunday as usual and not the slightest interest. On Tuesday he was actually out of his cave stretched across the front and watching us...during the day! We took a chance and pulled out a mouse..the strike that came when we offered that mouse later let us know he was hungry! |

Mine fast for 5 months the winter before last, but this year didn't stop eating at all.
I can sense when mine is hungry now, when its in its hot side hide hunkered down, i know not to even bother offering, but when in the cool side, it seems much more likely to strike. And sometimes it is just obvious like climbing all over the glass at the front trying to get out is a sure sign of hunger. Or just general activity and interest as to whats going on in the living room. |
