just wondering what type of wood this is, as i found it, so de barked it/ washed it/ bleached and disinfectant it. then wondered if it was pine or not, i dont think it is but i aint a tree surgeon so havent a clue, obviously not going to use it unless someone is 100% sure it's not pine

It would have been easier to tell if it still had the bark on, but the piece on the left looks to be the wrong shape for pine. It looks as though it's from a tree-shaped tree as opposed to a Christmas tree-shaped tree, if that makes any sense!

didnt think it was pine, but need to be 100%, dont want the little lad dying on me, but i love the shape etc on the wood, do you know where i could take it to find out?

I would say that its hard wood, something like oak, def doesnt look right shape to be pine to me, not xmas tree shaped as said before.
