yeah a heavier-bodied 450g royal just looks like a stumpy royal-coloured sausage compared to 3ft+ of slender corn weighing in at the same...........

but if you put a 450g royal in with a 1.8g female he will look diddy,

a 450g royal to me is small..

but males dont have to be of equal size...its ok for them to be alot smaller...

look at Annaconda's...females are huge compared to males...

450g is only a 1/3 of the size of a breedable female...

I've read somewhere that the bigger the male the better, as the larger they are the more sperm they produce which obviously increases chances of fertalisation. I think thats why they recommend 800g+
