My Python is shedding, however it's not a clean shed. It's coming off in bits, from what I can see the skin that's left is along the top of the snake. Most of it is already peeling off but do I need to do anything? His head and eyes look ok, I can't see any left over skin there. He's still active and ate a few days ago.

What would cause this? He's got a huge bowl of water in his enclosure that I'm forever topping up so I thought humidity wouldn't be an issue but I guess I could be wrong.

add a damp hide and hopefully he'll sort it himself

I'll have to see if I have anything big enough, I have got moss though.

Edit: Added moss in one of the places he hides so that should do the job.

You could just use an old marg tub or something with a hole cut in the lid.

for my OAP corn i just use an old plastic 'Celebrations' tub with a hole cut out (other chocolates are available.......)
