unfortunately not but its only 25 watt and temp doesnt get too hot
the guard is big and because of the smallness of the bulb, u cant feel any heat on the guard
i just thought it would be safer her on a warmish guard than boiling heatmat
shes 9 weeks old today so only small

I wouldn't use the bulb without a stat. What colour light does the bulb give off?

I would consider under 20*C to be possibly harmful, but not life threatening. Over 35*C could be a danger. If you keep it in a warm room until you get another stat it will be fine.

Kerrie, you really are not having much luck with your snake set up. As a rule of thumb you should not use any heat source without some control over the temperature.
I am sure in some of your posts the others on here have asked you to post some pictures of your set up,if you could do this along with a list of the equipment you have available it would be really helpfull for answering your questions and finding a temporary solution until you can replace your stat.
