Royals can take Small Mice/Rat Pups from hatchling, a Royal will never need a Pinky or Fuzzy Mouse.

What weight is he now?

has he got a water bowl large enough for him to fit into? sounds like he could possibly be due a shed......are his eyes cloudy? they tend to go blue then clear again then the snake sheds usually in about a week.
how much weight has he lost?
like BE said small mice are really the very smallest prey item to realistically feed a royal

Dumerils boas, BCO hybrids, Sinder Hypo boas, cornsnakes, ratsnakes, Day Geckos

as gp said sounds like he could be approaching a shed. or he could be slightly dehydrated. have you noticed if he has been drinking ok. A picture would be handy if you can get one up.
