hi guys my female royal is at 612g empty and i want to move her to rats, the question is how difficult is it to make the switch?
she's been on mice since i got her and i kept on with them as she was a little underweight and i thought some foods better than no food.
she doesnt seem to be a finiky eater and i'd really like her to get exra nutrition from the rats.
thanks in advance emma |

Just offer a suitable sized rat and you may be fine. |

Hi there. yeah you should be ok with that sort of weight. good luck. as BE said just offer her the Rat and see what happens. She may just go for them straight away. |

I have a baby royal named Cleo she is probably around 4mth old and already on medium mice. Since I have had her I have fed her 5 times and she takes them without any trouble at all, when do you think I should put her up to 2 mice :-o? writeback..brooke :) |

There are a couple, rats are slightly more nutritious and also when a Royal is fully grown 1 adult rat would do as a feed as opposed to 8 or so mice. |

That's the good thing about having many snakes in the house, when you are changing food types over there is always another in the house that'll take any refusals.
I wish my IJ Carpet would switch! |

I'd be looking to get her onto rats rather than feeding multiple mice. |
