Woohoo!! He hasnt eatne with me at all since I got him in November, but I acted on impulse today after seeing his behaviour in the viv and sure enough, he took it and dragged it just slightly into his hide.
Tbh I thought he was dead, as he lay upside down for about 5 mins and I couldnt see any movement, so I lifted off the hide (naughty me) and managed to get this pic-

result, hope he keeps this up. Also looks like he has a thermometer probe growing from his tail. |
