Hi guys
I've been feeding Velvet 3 rat pups per feed [every 7 days]. She's about 6months old and i've just finished up her rats. Basically, I want to upgrade her to something larger but i don't know the name/'term' for the rat above 'pup'. is it 'weaner'?
I'm thinking of ordering online as my local rep store only keeps large/ jumbo rats in, but i'm worried if i buy in bulk i'll end up with rats way too big if i get the name wrong
Only found out today that the rep store keeps the larger rats in so i'm going to have to feed her a few small mice for this week until i order some rats online, here's hoping she'll take them...

Hi I use a web site called frozendirect.com and the next size up is called fuzzy/fluff rats, then weaners, thay are well priced as well, and size from 11-25gms I ordered 20 at a time and I had a good variety from 11gms up to 26gms so it was not that difficult to use them all, but if your snake is eating three rat pups at once you may want the larger ones.
hope this helps |

Just dangle it in front of him :) use tongs for extra caution. he may take a minute to strike if hes new to rats, hopefully he will go for it!
some people advising feeding your snake in a seperate container, such as a cardboard box, i do this and i would advise it too. try not to stress your snake either. |
