hello

this is the first year i have had my bearded dragon - he is in a very lazy mood and not really eating his locusts and veg etc, i have been told he is slumbernating is this the norm for this time of year also his skin keeps going very dark then light any info would be appreciated

I find the same sort of thing with mine, some days he will just not really move at all and there are a couple of times when i have thought he was dead!! He will come out of it though. What kind of set-up do you have? I find that a beardie's movement and general activity is tied in a lot with how warm he is. Mine comes out of his cage whenever i am at home and at first he is all over the show climbing any and everything and running 7 million circuits of my front room, but as he cools down, he slows down and eventually just stops and waits for me to put him back in his cage.........only for him to warm up again and perform the whole show all over again!! That also goes for his colour changes, mine seems to change colour according to his temperature. When he is cold, or exposed to sunlight, he goes very dark, but when he is warm he is almost white.
