He is YELLOW! :D He's not a pastel, I don't think. The eyes are not as green as his mama (she's pastel) and his head is too dark for a pastel. Man, he has really cool colors! I just wish he'd eat already! Still hasn't eaten. The vet "FORCE FEEDS" not assist feed (basically runs a tube down the snake's gullet and pour some formula of some kind). I didn't want to go this route. He doesn't do assist feeding, so we're trying it ourselves. Didn't work the first time. We'll have to try again soon. He is down to 40 grams. (He was born at 47 grams).
But man, he is very pretty!

He's beautiful - your bees are stunning but I confess I prefer normals, and this one is really unusual, but that's very worrying, with the force feeding business and his now being below birthweight. I'm no expert either - wish I could give you more than just my good wishes that he will pick up soon. But you never know, they can surprise you!
All the very best! |

Hi, How old is? Not sure if you know and please dont think im being funny or anything like that.
Some hatchlins dont seem to know what food is, assist feeding is sometimes unavoidable. Dont try force feeding a normal size meal use a smaller one. After a couple of attempts if you still haven't managed to get him to eat it down him leave him alone for a few days as this process causes alot of stress for your snake. Pete.

He was hatched on 7/31.
Still having problems. We finally got him to successfully assist feed but he still won't eat on his own. So, we're not out of the woods yet. At least he has gained a little weight. He's 50 grams now. Still very skinny. |

This guy just don't want to eat on his own! We've assist-fed 3 more times. Still wouldn't do it all himself. :(

Don't worry, he'll get there.
I had one that I assist fed for 6 months and then one day just decided they were ready to eat on their own.

He finally ate on his own!!!
It's been 3 weeks since his last successful assist feeding. He was at 65 grams, he's back down to 57 grams.
Amazingly, he struck, coiled, and swallowed a live rat all on his own within 2 minutes of us dropping the rat in the tub.
Whew! I'm so relieved! I am soooo happy I could kiss this silly snake!
If he regurges I'm gonna cry... |
