Ok boots has had a bad first shed . Good bottom up but running down the head to tail along the top of spine the shed has retained.
How do i get it gone ive tried a warm bath then rub v lightly with a pillow case, also tried putting him in a damp pillow case to no avail.
I also noticed his eye caps are retained at what point does it become a problem. Or will it sort its self out.
I also put a damp hide in and raised the humidity to around 65%.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

I know you said youve tried the bath but it will work with time. soak the snake in the bath for 20min and then gently rub the skin down the snake, try not to pull but push the skin if you know what i mean and that should do the trick. make sure the water is warm, not hot but warm. In the future, spray the snake daily when they are in shed, this will help when actual shedding takes places.

I too would try again with more baths, the same temp as the warm end of the viv.

I wouldn't spray a snake though and spraying when they are in shed is not worth it either as at this time they have become water proof. You could give them a moist hide at the cool end of the viv to use as and when they need it.

only goin off what works for me, a few sprays a couple of days before shed just seems to help my snakes to shed in a full piece

i think the younger you get your snake used to water the more they will grow to like it.

Chances are they would have shed fine without the spraying then

I've never heard of anyone spraying their snake, surely it should be sufficient to raise the humidity wduring the shedding process, its a bit late afterwards!
