the bridgwater taunton area is lacking in good reptile shops. the only good one i have found is blagdon, they are good for reptiles but when it comes to decoration for the vivs they dont have much and neither do the other shops. most of which are sections in garden centes. and they are over priced. monkton elm for one is over priced £100 for a normal and £280 for a pastel royal.
i know u can get decor on line cheaper than shops but sometimes i would like to see the item b4 i buy it.
does anyone know of any good rep shops in somerset? not bristol |

I'm in West Yorks - but I can recommend a good online supplier - Blue Lizard. Very reliable and low priced, and delivery's free over £50, (so I stock up on bulbs, substrate etc) - they have a website showing products, but you can phone and discuss needs - they are very ready to answer any questions etc., really can't fault them. During the big freeze they even arranged for the supplier to ship my order, which they did. Brilliant guys! |

| yeah i know the site. but when it comes to some things i would rather see it in person, im strange that way. im after some of those java wood large branches and as they are all unique they dont show the pics on line. one of the garden centres near me do them but they are waitin on stock, have been 4 ages. |

| I live burnham on sea I got few things from sanders garden world or cadbury garden centre!! There really is no where else it poo round here ain't it mate |

| yeah it is ****. i found one called aj reptiles in locking, so not far from cadbury. drove over this morn from bridgwater only to find it was shut so will go another day and to top it off when i went back to the car i had a bloody flat |

| Yeh I know what you mean with stuff like wood you want to see it and pick it out. Bit spoilt where I am. A few great shops not to far. |

i was in the same boat as you, no where good that i can go and get wood from, so decided to order it online, i did originally order 2 pieces of java wood, and 2 pieces of exo terra wood, but the java wood was out of stock, so just got the exo terra wood, but have just off yesterday night re-oredered the java wood and have also ordered more exo terra wood
i to would like to see the wood first, but because they have so many pieces of wood it would be hard, so its like a guessing game for what comes , plus it only cost me 45 quid |

Well i live in Bristol and think i have covered pretty much every reptile place in the south/south west.
Blagdon are good but not too much in terms of decor. Good for substrate and heating etc.
Cadbury are about the best locally as they have a huge area for rep's. The do everything pretty much.
AJ rep's are good but only really for buying reps. Nice bloke and really good knowledge.
Reptiles Plus in Bournemouth are very good. Good prices and good stock.
The Ark in Exeter has a good selection, good levels of decor and hides etc.
Tiny Boas In Exeter is ok, only really good for looking round at stock.
Emsowrth Reptiles are about as good as it gets. Amazing selection of reps and pretty much everything you'll ever need.
Reptile Zone in Bristol has a good selection, but never has what i want. No named brands and WAYY to expensive.
Planet Reptile in Swindon is another branch of the above
Planet Reptiles in Plymouth has a good selection. Some really good interesting stock and good for supplies too.
Two by Two in Plymouth had a fair selection. Only been in there once so not really fair to comment
Jurrasic Reps, only a small amount of stock. Some nice Boas but nothing to get excited about.
Scales and Tails in Porthcawl is a good shop if your local to that area.
Pet Wise in Ponty have a ok selection nothing to special.
