Hello from me.
I'm Carol, I'm a 35 year old Mother of two children, Bronny is 12 in August and Euan is 9 in July.
I live with Simon and the children in a house full of a variety of pets.
I have a Royal Python named George, a Arizona Mountain King called Tehya, a puss cat called Oscar and a pink toe tarantula called Penelope.
Together we have a Yemen Chameleon and four turtles.
Simon owns a boa, a blue tongue skink, a tokay gecko and a pair of lovebirds.
We all live together in Cannock Staffordshire.
I found this forum because I'm a member of the King Snake forum :D
My python was Simon's but I couldn't bear to see him go in our downsizing exercise so I persuaded Simon to sell him to me.
I look forward to meeting you all :D

I've got royals and corns and cats and love insects and spiders but never kept any pet spides (apart from my corn snake Spider.)

Hi Guys, sorry for bumping up an already ancient post, but as I have come back, I wanted to re-introduce myself to anyone who has forgotten who I was, or doesn't know me as they joined since this post was active..
Right...
I'm now 36, my Daughter is now 13, and my Son is now 10. We still live in Cannock with my Fiance Simon and a houseful of pets.
All my pets are in my signature, that doesn't look like a houseful, but Simon has:

0.0.2 Love Birds, one peach faced - Why, and one sea green - Emu
2.2.1 Turtles, two false maps, a yellow belly slider, a Peninsular Cooter and a Red Eared/Yellow Belly cross - all no names
0.1.0 Boa Constrictor Imperator (sp) - no name, her previous owner called her Tink but Simon calls her "my Boa" rofl
0.0.1 Leopard Tortoise - Zippy
0.0.1 marine reef tank (the critters in there are unsexed, not the tank rofl)
So you'll see what I mean by a "houseful" in fact, the only rooms that there are no pets are the kids' bedrooms, the kitchen and the bathroom! rofl but Oscar rules the whole house, so I guess all the rooms are occupied 
On a very good day, I like to try and design and create greeting cards and/or Jewellery for family and friends special occasions, my latest love is playing with fimo clay, it's really opened up my range of abilities, I'm loving it! On a bad day, I just sit/lie down with my tablet (Nexus 7 - why on Earth did they put Jelly Bean on it, when there's hardly any apps ready for it?!) and try to socialise on the many forums I am a member of, I sometimes post on facebook and G+. I also play on various games on the tablet. On a very bad day, I just sit propped up or lie, and either act like a zombie, or go to sleep.
I am severely disabled, I suffer physically and mentally, I am housebound and also chair/bed bound, I can just about get around the house, albeit VERY slowly on crutches, (with a stairlift for the stairs) but I require Si to push me in a wheelchair out of the house. As for mentally, I have severe long and short term memory loss, "Brainfog", severe Aphasia, Depression, I cannot process aural (?) information, I sometimes have the mentality of a child, I cannot make financial decisions, I cannot be trusted in the kitchen, (physical and mental on this one) and various other things that mean that people usually have to treat me as if I'm as "thick as heck". (I used to be a PA to a Directorate prior to falling ill, so I wasn't "thick" prior to being ill!)
(I have not "played the disabled card" by telling you this, I am NOT asking for sympathy, I am telling you this simply so you understand my situation, so you do not have to question why I do, or do not do certain things, or to give you an explanation of why I sometimes don't understand what you have said, or why it takes me a lot longer than normal people to reply, or to get the idea..)
NB: If I place a (?) after something I have typed, I am asking for correction, or confirmation if I'm right, PLEASE don't be afraid to correct me, I really need help on things and like to know the correct way of saying/spelling something.
That's about it really, I'm sure I've told you more than you all really wanted to know, but hey ho, I believe in proper introductions, so that everyone gets a better understanding of me. (and gives you prior warning to avoid me like the plague! rofl) |
