I'm super anal when it comes to record keeping, and just wanted to share Duke's progress with me.

19/01/11 - First weighed 472 Grams
11/02/11 - First measured 33 1/2 Inches

04/04/11 - Weighed (empty) 612 Grams
12/04/11 - Measured 36 1/2 Inches (woohoo broke the 3 foot mark)

I love keeping records if I'm honest and been able to compare stuff like this is just great. Its not easy to see these changes when you see them every day (if your lucky with a royal) so to see it in black & white has made my day.

I agree record keeping is a good idea
We made up some record chart sheets and have one for all our snakes

I think its just part of the hobby you should do

Well done :)

I love keeping records because i'm addicted to stats :p my spreadsheeets have weights, estimated weight gain, actual weight gain, mythological weight gain... Everything!

Nice progress on duke though, fun stuff we're geeks! Hehe

Same here - at first I jotted stuff down on the calendar, but then just before Shahi arrived last summer I started a snake diary - feeding, shedding, royals' weights, fasting and even dumping records. Plus remarks on their behaviour, character etc. It's invaluable.

Yep each snake has their own little book and anything that I think may be required goes in.

I did, then I stopped, might start again. I find putting first refusal was worth noting, then I could see patterns. After amfewnyears it became pointless, both me and Stig know the routine now.....
