Spot is now strike/constrict feeding every time since moving to feeding in his vivarium, fed on Thursday took in seconds.

Sanke fed on Friday, for those wo saw the video she struck in seconds and it was her first rat so a result.

Duke tonight, small rat (of the adult variety) went in his tin, in the viv, no sign of him, watching TV and about 10 minutes later I catch a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye. Its Duke stood up proudly displaying his meal as it disappears down his throat.

I am one very proud proud person tonight, I love to watch the other 2 eat, they are mental but it just feels a bit more special to see Duke eat as he doesn't do the whole strike thing, he normally takes it into his hide or waits until I'm not there. Sounds a bit silly, I love all my snakes, but I seem to have a bond with Duke maybe its just an understanding of him, sympathy or empathy as he is such a shy and timid little guy.

Anyway I got my full house, oh and on a totally none reptile side of it too, my dog has food allergies and is also very picky, this week I have found him a dry dog food (gravy & jelly disagrees with him)that he likes and it is hypoallergenic, hasn't made him ill and its like having a new dog and I don't have to cook him chicken, rice and pea dinners anymore (well maybe as a treat, lol).

Congrats on the feeding! Yeah, it's great when you rear a timid little creature into a large cheeky monster. I've always bonded most with the ones who had difficulties to begin with; it's a joy to see them improve and come out of their shell. Congrats on finding the dogfood for Alfie too - you must have been worried about him.

I'm on a bit of a high myself - Saada, who's only eaten twice in 6 months, shed yesterday, so late at night I slipped a nice warm rat fluff into the entrance of the hide where she was resting ... five minutes later it had gone. I checked this morning to make sure she hadn't taken it into bed with her like a teddy bear, but no, she'd eaten it - yay! Now to work her back up on to full size meals, I hope.
