Hi, and welcome to the forum and congrats on your first royal.
Erm, useful tips ... you sound pretty clued up to me, but there is just one thing - royals never stop at just one; you end up with several - and oh boy it's great! |

Yep but you can't just stop at Royals either, Boa's sneak in, corn snakes, hognoses, kings, bulls, gophers, they are just so fascinating you just cant get enough.
I fed my Boa tonight, 1 mouse, 1 rat and she still had a pop at me when I was putting her back, I love it. lol. |

Don't do what I did when I got Dorian, I got really worked up and worried he wouldn't eat, despite knowing that they frequently fast. The good news is though that by logging his eating habits I've figured out he eats for about half a year and fasts for about half a year, or after three sheds into the year he'll start eating. They really are peculiar eaters... |

LOL - bless - yeah, royals are a whole different ball game lol. I sometimes think they're descended from hedgehogs ... well, smooth hedgehogs?
Yes, it won't be long before the next arrives - congrats! |
