Has anybody out there used cat litter as substrate in their vivs? I have found a make called BIO CATOLET which is made entirely of pulped newspaper,it is very absorbent,easily cleaned out,helps keeps the heat in and at the same time keeps the cool end of viv cool and very cheap to buy, it looks extremely good too,If any snake swallowed a piece accidently whilst feeding it would not do any harm at all.Just wondering if anyone else has used this particular brand. Not come across it but sounds good as long as it's not treated with any chemicals to stop it smelling in the litter tray

Not tried it, sounds good but how does it affect the humidity?

I've started using Aubiose, (chopped hemp) on B.E's recomendation. Its great stuff and very cheap!
