Below are some charts regarding food sizes for mice and rats, there are pictures and below the information charts, the information going from top to bottom tallies to the pictures from right to left (smallest to largest).
Each individual has their own way of feeding and royals vary greatly when it comes to feeding habbits but generally royal hatchlings are starte don rat pups for a few months and then worked onto rat weaners for a further 6-9 months and gradually worked up to adult rats. This is a general guide and vaires greatly as some royals grow a lot faster and eat more and so can therefore be moved up a size food, some struggle with food sizes and will hold back on smaller food for longer periods. You will learn to know what your royal wants/needs and what he/she can handle eating.
If your royal doesnt like rats then the chart shows the equivalent in mice although it is recommended to try and wean your royal onto rats from an early age as they are more nutritional for them and royals tend to be awkward to wean off mice.
here are the charts. hope this can be of some help to people.

Very good, the only problem being that if you go from one pet shop to another, they classify things slightly differently. |

I have just been to feed Zavvi but i think the food item may be too big? can it hurt her if it is? It looks the same width as her, but i would rather be safe:
sorry about the pic, i was in a hurry
Edit - the rat is in the bag at the bottom |
