I have been assessing Duke, I have the next size of food up for him in the freezer but I was worried that it was too big. Anyway the rats are between 6 and 6 1/2 inches in girth. So Duke got dug out of bed, laid out and had his girth assessed. lol. up just after the neck he was around 6 1/2 inches, but at his thickest point he was 7 1/2 inches, all the bits inbetween are 7 inches so I take that as the measurement. So he has one more small rat left then its into the mediums I think. I haven't made up my mind yet and will have a good think about it make sure I'm making the right decision.
But Duke is 7 inches around, thats incredible, he is a huge fatty lol. |

LOL - the python equivalent of Giant Haystacks? He hasn't half grown, bless him.
If he carries on like this, how big will he be when he's full grown? I think you need to revise your viv plans to accommodate a double mattress and royal size duvet lol. |

haha I couldn't care, I always have them show me the mice and rats, usually I measure them as follows:
Spot is the thickness of my middle finger, Sanke is my thumb and finger next to that and Duke is my wrist. Works well as a guide but customers watching my measuring of the rodents do give funny looks sometimes. |

Really your big Boa, lol, wow Duke is a heffer. I'm actually thinking of getting him something just a tiny bit smaller then the rat/dogs I have, see how he gets on before giving him the labrador. |

When I had my Boa and got him from the reptile room, he piled on about 600g in about 3 feeds, I was really shocked how fast he went up in size (that sounds bad) I wasn't power feeding him or anything lol. |
