might be a daft question but are the red night spot lamps infa red? or is it just snakes cant see red light? |

They can see all light. Red is less intrusive and thats it. Red is not infra red, though infra red bulbs aren't true infra red either in my opinion but I use them and they are a much softer light than any other light emitting bulb. I'm in the process of switching to ceramic heat bulbs that emit no light.
Edit to add: Royals can see heat with their heat pits so any heat source is visible to them. |

there was originally a ceramic in there but it broke an the red bulb was cheap. as much as i like seeing him about at night im going to go back to a ceramic when i get paid just so nothing disturbs him during the night |
