I have a young female spider called Rose an she is a beauty but she was showing strong signs of shedding so I left her to hide, only bothering her to offer food (which she declined). (This is my first python shed, I have corn snakes but never had any problem shedders)
Came downstairs thismorning and checked on her and her head has shed but the rest of her hasn't.
I have put two damp cloths in her hides, one in the warm end, one in the cool end. I have also misted her tank slighty.
Is there anything I can do to help her?

Thanks, Kim.

For starters you`ll probably find this can be caused by low humidity, if any of mine struggle it will be through the winter months when the central heating is on.
What you need to do is give your Royal a soak in a lidded tub of water for about 20 minutes. Get a suitable sized tub and fill it about an inch deep, check the temp as well, you`ll need a temp of about 28. After a 20 min you should find that you`ll be able to allow your Royal to slide through a towel and the old skin should come off.

Yes I thought a good soak may help her out.
I will definatly have a damp hide available for future sheds I think.
Well better get off and give the girl a soak. I want my bright-eyed, bright skinned girl back!
Thank you.

Maybe u checked very early before the shedding process ended, i'll raise the humidity in the viv and give him more time, Blitz shed 3 times with me without any problems although one time he shed and the humidity was just 40% , and it was with no problems.

Sorry for the late reply, I had trouble logging on here before but today seems better.

The soak worked a treat, I made a damp hide and gave the tank a mist an she was all well and good.
Now we are having feeding issues. This is my first royal so it's a case of trial an error it would seem.
I'll get there in the end, just waiting for my girl to cut me some slack
