rats are better for royals, you would be looking to to feed something 10-15% of the snakes weight.

and 66% het caramel means both parents were het caramel and there is 66% chance yours may be.

Hi and welcome to the forum - yes, rats are better; they have a slightly higher fat content - more nutritious for royals who may spend several months fasting during the mating season, but, more importantly, they're bigger than mice. When your girl reaches 1500g or so and you need to feed her at a rate of 10/15% of her bodyweight per meal, feeding her something like one medium adult rat weighing 162g approx, according to one supplier of frozen that I use, is a lot easier than a load of jumbo mice who will only weigh 45g each at the most. So it's a good idea to try offering her a rat sooner rather than later. A medium weaner rat, according to aforementioned supplier, weighs roughly the same as a jumbo mouse, or you can go by girth and feed a rat whose girth is no wider than your snake's.

Hope this helps.

Amendment - we overlapped, GMac - I will never understand royal morphs lol!

If she was fed on 14/12, if she's under 400g, a good guide is to feed every 5 days; over 400g, every 7 days, 800-1000g every 10 days and over 1400g every fortnight, but I'd give her a week to settle in before her first meal with you. Again hope this helps.
