Hi, I have a 14 month (approx) male royal, currently living in an Exo terra glass terranium (the mesh lid type). I have no problems with this enclosure, I just feel the time has come now to sort him out something larger.

My dilemma is, do I stick with the sort of thing i have already, just get the next size or what are the best alternatives to what I already have?

Thanks

Or you could build your own

no need to pay out for hides either, just fill it with kitchen roll tubes

Its a lot easyer than you`d think and a lot cheaper. If you only have the 1 snake all you`ll need is a small bed side cabinet as a carcase.

Ooooo I'm intrigued! Would you use the cabinet on its side?

That would depend on the shape/style of the cabinet. Iv done 3 myself now, the first was a wardrobe that i converted to take 3 snakes. That was to big and a bit of an eyesore after a while. The next 2 where a pair of chests of draws. One i kept upright so to speak, and made 3 vivs and the other was done on its side, but that was for my boys beardy, so it has more of a run area. Just remove the draws and runners ect ect, put a couple of bits of plexy glass on the front and bobs your aunties live-in-lover

before

during

after
