after getting my bull snakes ive been reading up about breeding etc one thing that ive been reaserching is breeding siblings (think their from the same clutch but waiting to find out) i know breeders will breed offspring back to their parents to prove out lines/new morphs which ive read is ok up to 3rd generation but with siblings what ive read seems to give 50/50 arguments. is it geneticly ok to do this? what are your views on it? |

It's fine to do it, reptiles aren't like mammals they don't suffer any problems from it from what I've studied. I heard it was okay upto 6th generation. |

ye i think with most reptiles its ok, as long as theres no sign of any defects in the history of the animal. for example i would never breed 2 cinnamon or black pastel simblings as they have the problem of duck billing and kinks, but thats about all i now of any problems of defects in any snake |
