A few shots of my male axanthic, Scar, to celebrate our 1 year anniversary together :)
He was wild caught in 2000, sold to NERD, sold again to CPR and sold again to come to me :)

Just curious but why are royals still being wild caught? Aren't there enough being captive bred?

Sadly yes ...according to Kevin McCurley in 'The Complete Ball Python' it's like Eldorado out there ...there's even what he calls a 'ball python mafia' ...
Mind you, if the wc snake gets a good home, like Scar, he'll have an easier time of it and a longer life than in the wild. |

| Scar was caught a long, long time ago back in 2000, it still goes on but I don't think so miuch anymore. |
