Hi setting up hot spot ,with digi gauge,i got 2 brand new,but at shop only had two differant types 1 exo terr and a komodo dual gauge,but i am getting 2 differant reading from the same spot,
exo terra 30.5
komodo 32.5
should i take an average of the 2 ?
done same check on cool end .
exo terra 22.3
komodo 24.5

are they digi ones or anolog? the anolog ones are rubbish in my experience.

these are the ones i use and never had any probs, think i have about 10 of them

not sure if this is the seller where mine came from, the other half has the ebay account so orders them for me

not sure of the best thing to do in that situation. have you got another thermometer you could check them both against to see which is correct

find both temps that are exceptable so you know it's not to hot or to cold.
Theres no real way to test which is correct so I would choose 1 and stick with it (as long as your snake seems to be OK)

hi i just stuck one at the hot end,and the other down cold end and left it as that, Winston(royal) seems very happy,It was my own fault,for not leaveing things alone,if i dint put them together i would of never known.

I'd get a ir temp gun
Best thing I every brought for measuring temps ;)

Can be got from eBay for a out £9 from china
If you don't mind waiting or £12/£14 from the uk
Same gun buy more as there in uk
