Hi guys, tonight will be sukis 2nd feed with me, she's 4 ft and on large rats, I've only had her a month, and previously she has been fed in her viv, but since I got her I changed the substrate to aspen and I am reluctant to feed her in viv because of digestion problems, is it ok to change her pattern and feed her in a rub seeing as she's been fed in her viv for 4 years? |

I used to really really worry about aspen, and feeding anywhere near it, until I got Ziska, whose temperament demanded deep aspen to burrow in, and in viv feeding. She was 5 months at the time and arrived last April in a cricket box.
Madam is now 4'+ and at present curled up in my armpit. Any chance bits of aspen ingested don't seem to have done any harm.
Although I keep the smallest corns on kitchen roll, chiefly to make discovering mess easier, I no longer worry about feeding near aspen, although this is only my own experience ...I hate the stuff when it gets in my socks, but it doesn't seem to bother the snakes. |
