I set a thermostat to my heat mat yesterday, sensor on top of the newspaper substrate..set at 32.
Trouble is the digital thermometer is reading 34-35
The mat is very warm, but not uncomfortable to hold my hand to, so now not sure what to do.
Fea is resting on top of his hide..just fed. |

Turn the thermostat down 3 degree's
the numbers on the thermostat dial are pointless they might as well just say 'hot' and 'cold' you have to find the sweetspot yourself with a thermometer |

YUP, that's exactly it. They should save some money and not bother printing the numbers on at all, they are misleading (though my Habistat Dimming stats are spot on, all 4 of them).
34-35 will not feel hot, your body temperature is 37oC would have to be higher than that to feel hot to you. |
