hi all
winston is showing strong signs of shedding,at the mo he is a pinky colour and his eye caps are looking misty?can any1 tell me how long the shedding period is start to finish plse. im itching to have some handling time with him.

It's hard to say for sure as they're all a bit different, but I'd say (as a rough estimate) a week, looking back in my records, that's about what it took Shahi when he was that size. All the best for Winston's shed.

I find after they have gone blue then cleared up
I find it will be 2 maybe 3 days then they will shed

Best to raise the humidify after they have cleared up
To help them get a nice clean shed

Depending on your royal you could still have your handling time with him, iv never had any problems handling whilst in blue the only time i dont is when he actually starts to shed.

and like D3lboys-Morphs said, when he clears up then its time to raise humidity, this can be done easily by putting a damp cloth or (sock in my case) into the warm hide
