I was just curious but do snakes interpret brown mice any differently from white? As I was feeding today and decided to use a brown mouse for the first time. And I have to admit I was very shocked at how quickly he took it. No exaggeration I must have dangled the mouse in and within 5 seconds he was out of his hide from nowhere, striking and coiling like a snake possessed! Alot more ruthless than he is with white. Like I said, I'm just curious if colour provokes a different response?

I've heard it said that they can get used to one colour and may refuse a different coloured rodent, but never seen it with my lot.

LOL - I bet that was a shock - nice feeding session, congrats!

Yea I was fully expecting it to be refused to be honest. And it was a shock, with it being brown and my light was off it was harder for me to see it lol, and within seconds it was snatched from me. Didnt even see him coming. The greedy little git! Haha
