She feeds well once a week , sheds well, and is active out n about in n out of her viv, she is quite content but should she be a little heavier for her age??? |

She sounds fine - have posted over on the weight/age thread about Saada who is also a good feeder and doing well, but who was 300g at the same age as Kiwee. |

At one point she was over weight and our local reptile shop told us to switch her back to mice. We've just started feeding her rats again (last 3 feeds) as we worried that mice were not big enough for her as she was always hunting 2 days after a feed now she's going 6 days before hunting.

There is no such thing as how much they should weigh. There is a big wide range of weights to age but nothing to be taken as 'normal'. If they aren't skinny (triangular body shape) and aren't fat (all lumpy, its hard to describe with Royals as they are heavy bodied) then they are just as they are supposed to be.
If you can get her to eat rats then that will be a long term better option. I've never heard of an overweight snake pre adulthood so I'd take what you've been told with a pinch of salt. You ideally should be feeding her something 10-15% of her body weight every 10-14 days in my opinion but for the next month or 6 feed her every 7 days, you'll soon see the weight but more importantly size going up.
Just for an idea of a good chunky but not fat body shape of a similar aged snake this is my Royal, Duke, he was always massive but without length or weight info (which isnt important) this is a good healthy heavy bodied snake such as a Royal Python.
