drogo still wont eat,i tryed putting him back in his 2 ft viv and feeding him in there. he was interested but did not strike so i left it on top of the cold hide and put a towel over the viv. i had defrosted the small mouse on the radiator for about 3 hours then i brained it and diped its head in boiling water for a few mins. checked to day to find he had nudged it down the back of the hide.
here is my feeding records thus far as we got him without records

Oh I wouldn't be too worried about the feeding, he's a fair weight and it's breeding season he's just fasting. as for the poop, if he's not eating he won't be pooping? |

Yeah they seem to be a something in, something out kind of animal, Duke fasted for 4 months and not a lot came out for this whole period. For comparison I will share Duke's record (without the feed attempts and sheds in, too faffy).
29/08/11 - Last feed he took before the fast. 23/09/11 - Small poo 23/09/11 - Weighed 1130 Grams 24/11/11 - Urates 24/11/11 - Weighed 1122 Grams 25/12/11 - Ate small Weaner Rat (breaking fast) 07/02/11 - First poo and urates after fast. He is back feeding on small rats now and last weighed in at 1135 Grams 07/02/12.
Just to show you that Royals when they fast dont have any problems, its what they are built to do so you really dont have to worry, you just try them once every 2-4 weeks, after one month of not feeding I only offered every 3 weeks to save on wastage.
