Hey guys! Just got two geckos today, male and female, both adults.
They are cute and I'm chuffed to bits with them. I was just wondering
when the male goes close to the female, she waggs her tail like mad, then sprints away from him like lighting. Is this something to be
concerned over or if anyone knows why shes doing this? They were not paired together

thanks, Matt.

Males will try mate females, she's telling him to back off. Are you breeding them or just housing them together?

As Bob says shes telling him to back off cause she for whatever reason isn't interested in mating, the problem being is that, that will be all that's on the males mind so at some point she will either give in or they will end up fighting, which could end up with a serious injury so if I'm honest I'd either get a few more females or seperate them.

Yeah, my females got a nasty bite from the male on her tail, so he has gone back to the guy
i got him from, in exchange for a female i will get sometime next week! He also treated the wound
on the female, so the week will let her settle down and heal, thanks for the info,

matt.
