Great, looks like im going to try for a pinstripe for my birthday then.Any idea of what percentage of hatchlings would be pinstripe if you bred pinstripe with norm? |

Edit - Ahh I get it now, for some reason I assumed the parent would be a homozygous Pinstripe. |

Don't want to hi-jack, but my royal always does a slight wobble when I'm feeding him, and it's noticable at other times too, just to as extreme as that video. He's a normal so why would he be doing the little side to side wobble he does? |

Actually, ALL spiders do it to some degree. Most of them are hardly noticeable. That's why you hear a lot of spider owners say, "but my spider doesn't wobble".
I have one of those - my spider doesn't wobble... until he holds his head up for a longer period of time (curious or ready to strike at a rat) then you see his head start to "nod" like his neck muscles is not quite strong enough to "hold the pose".
I have to tell you, I love my spider. He is the easiest guy to take care of. Eats like a champ EVERY WEEK, very good with handling, very well adjusted, not head-shy at all, and tolerates even my 5-year-old's clumsiness. And he's got a reduced pattern that I know would make some great combos if I decide to breed him (I'm not into breeding).
Anyway, here's a good article on spiders from Adam Wysocki at 8ballpythons. http://forum.8ballpythons.com/blog/?p=5 |
