An end of an era has come around today for me and my family , we had to put our 16 year old ****er spaniel chloe to sleep after suffering heart failiur . I feel totally deverstated as she was the dog i begged a cried for when i was 10 . I left a note at the top of the stair every night for a month with three tick boxes sayin 'yes' 'no' and maybe , and wake up hopin they had ticked yes , took awhile but finally we went to pick up chloe , who throught the nxt few years became my closest buddy and partner in crime . Seeing her suffer and taking her to the vets with my parents has probably been the toughest thing i have had to do and at the moment i can burst into tears at any moment :(

Sorry its abit of a morbid post , just feel abit lost . If u cudnt find her in the house , u cud guarentee u would find her in the garden alseep in a patch of sun . And i think its quite fitting considering all the recent rain , that today the sun is shining brightly

:(

Heres a pic of her where she could always be found in the sunshine having a snooze

Ah so sorry to here that laws! So sad. I know how you feel, I lost both my cats a year ago, mother and son, 18 and 17 respectively. Then we got a new kitten, which not long after we started letting him out, got hit by a car. Once again, I'm so very sorry for your loss :(

Aww I'm so sorry to hear that laws! A couple of years ago we had to put down our 17 year old collie, we'd had her from when she was ten weeks old. It's the hardest thing in the world she looks lovely in that pic though and you'll always have the memories :)

Very sorry to hear. You were very fortunate to have her and she was very fortunate to have you - you gave her so much love and you were strong enough to let her go with dignity and stay with her at the end. But that doesn't make it any more bearable, I realise. So very sad when we have to part with a pet, who is a person. xxx.
