So 2 months ago we got our pastel and pinstripe. So far so good.
Started seeing the odd little black dots moving on the pastel, thought it was the substrait as we've had creepy crawlies in it before. Changed that all seemed fine, except she wasn't eating anymore.

She had taken her last feed at the shop and had shed fine a few weeks after we got her. We let her settle in and she was pretty happy.

But then we noticed the pinstripe soaking in his water bowl for 2 days and the dreaded mites had returned with a vengence...to both of them.

So we did the usual cleanup of the vivs with callingtons and our mate at the shop treated them with frontline. He kept them for 48 hrs in solitary. poor lil souls.

We've had them back for 3 weeks or so and no sign of mites.

All in all things have settled down nicely for them and we caught it in time.

Good you caught it quickly and treated it aggressively.
