All of of the other scales on the bottom at semi circled but this looks like cut only just noticed it

could the scale be folded back

The ventral scales protrude and get scuffed, cracked and battered on occasion, its not totally impossible that it snapped the edge off as there is a good chunk of it apparently not there but I wouldn't worry about it the scale has taken the damage rather than the flesh so its done the job its intended to do. It will be repaired at the next shed and you might not see it fully repaired first time round but it will get there.
