when mine wasnt that interested i found by tapping the food item on her tail and slightly annoying her with it she soon took it. but not too much as to stress her.
again like BE said get yourself a set of digital scales and keep a record of the weight as to know if she/he is losing it. i weigh all my snakes and leo's begining of every month. helps you to see if they are healthy.
i think it was GP that said lidl had them on sale at £5.99 but cant be certain. a set of scales are definatley worth the money...

I've got a spare bowl for our kitchen scales that I weigh Sherman in. Usually do it post-poo. (Sorry to keep rubbing it in Daz ).
