hello, oscar has been shedding since 14/5/09 very bitty, still shedding today 12/6/09 he had 3 baths lukewarm water, the humidity is 50, he only just started to eat regular, i only had him since easter, any ideas????

Did you run him through a damp towel after his bath?

how much shed is left on him?

you can make a moss box for him, put it in between the warm and cold end of his home and take out all other hides...so he has to use this and it will help get the rest of the shed off

i didnt run him through a damp towel, i try that ,theres still a lot of skin to shed, i been trying to buy some moss, hav'nt been able to find any at moment. thanks for that.

they sell it at B&Q not sure where you are..

was this your first shed with him? has he had problems before?

yes this is his first shed with me, there no B&Q near me, i keep a look for some moss, i try him with the bath and damp towel in the meantime, he got two hides, warm and cool, few plants and stuff to climb on, a large water bowle,but he do'snt go in it, well not that I seen, let you know how we get on

Have you got any pics of your set up?

Bad sheds normally indcate something is not right.

Is he eating ok?

Are there any signs of mites or has he had mites recently ?

what are your temps and how are you controlling them?

Most garden centres will sell it, people use it for hanging baskets.

got him on the 10/4/09 he only eaten 4 times since then, now is eating more regular, got ceramic bulb, temps around 32-33c, clean the viv out twice ,can not see any mites , hopefully the not eating ,was him getting use to new home

bought some wool & moss, used instead of the real moss, see if this does the trick

Oscar seems to like it, hes not moved out the hide, since i put it in, he looks cosy! i sterilised it with boiling water first, it was all they had in the garden shop near me,£2 for a big bag.heres some blub about it, what do you t
