how do you work out what wattage you need to the size of the viv is it 25 watts for every foot floor lenth and which size viv for size of snake.

Viv size, rule of thumb (for Royals anyway) is length of viv + width of viv = length of snake.

Regarding the wattage, I use 75W IR bulbs in my 3' vivs.
