i have mine wrapped round the sensor probe off my stat.
i have started to put it directly on the mat outside the hide cos my royals seem to dig down and clear the substate off the mat and lay directly on cardboard covering the mat. i also put it out side the hide now cos wen my royals were laying on the sensor/probe it was registering a drop in temp of a few degrees cos it was reading the snakes body temp not the mat temp, causing the stat to heat the mat up more even though it wasnt necessary. |
